SOUTH BEACH — Izzy’s Fish & Oyster Miami (423 Washington Avenue) has officially closed up its South Beach location. Chef and owner Jamie DeRosa tells Eater Miami that they are, “restructuring the location and focusing on expansion in other markets,” which includes a recently opened location in Ft. Myers. He adds that it was a “tough location” but is planning to bring a “new identity” to the Washington Avenue location. He also hinted in conversations that neighboring restaurants weren’t doing so well either.
UPPER EAST SIDE — Biscayne Boulevard chocolate shop Beacon Hill Chocolates (6318 Biscayne Boulevard) announced on its Facebook earlier this month that it is closed for the summer and relocating to a new location later this year. Where that location might be isn’t clear, but not all seems lost for the chocolate shop.
